Done at some point in the winter of 1887 to 1888, Vincent worked with more greens, browns and yellows with perhaps a thinner face as he is yearning to leave Paris for sunnier latitudes.  His strokes are very impressionistic  and the pointillist influence seen in the way he creates the lays browns, greens and oranges beside each other.  Green highlights on his hairtips and repeated in the background which seems busy with movement perhaps.
